Blog Post 1: Why do YOU read?

Books have the ability to take you on a journey, inform you about various subjects, or simply provide a sensory filled story for readers to sit back, relax and enjoy. I like to read because I enjoy the sensory filled experience each story/novel brings.  Granted, it’s been a while since I’ve picked up a book out of leisure, but when I do mosey my way to the library, I can’t help but spend hours walking down the aisles searching for books, picking out random books I’ve never even heard of.  When I do read out of leisure, it’s usually when I feel like I need time to relax or take a break.  I pick up a book, get comfortable and begin reading.  It takes my mind off things and takes me on a new journey as I progress in the plot of the book.  Sometimes I get so involved that I can’t set the book down and I end up finishing the book within a few hours.  I choose to read because I love the feeling you get when you enter into a new world the novel brings, and how it separates readers from the real world.
